As the Powai lake in Mumbai dries up, numerous Ganesha idols show up on the lake bed. These were immersed in the lake during Ganpati festival in previous years.

Fascinating perspectives on the ordinary remind us of the beauty we might be missing.

This was facing a beautiful sunset in Goa... most of the time, one would have completely ignored the rustic beauty in favor of the majestic golden sunset.

I am pleased with the results of this macro shot---given that this is a camera phone.

The red colour is not in petals but in filaments of anthers. Each head has many flowers & each flower has numerous stamens (filament + anther). Macro with auto-focus. (0217)
