Took this on the Leh-Srinagar highway just before Kargil district. Although this road has one of the most difficult terrains of all in kashmir due to regular shelling from either side, but it also holds the most spectacular landscapes.

Sarchu has some of the most gorgeous valleys and terrain in the entire himalayan range.

Took on my recent 13 days road trip to Laddakh & Kashmir. It won't be incorrect to say that me & my group passed through gateways of heaven in last 20 days.

Bhandhardhara is a nice place, about 4 hours drive from Mumbai. It has a river which you can see in the above photo, dam and several water falls. Best time to go there is during the Monsoons: July-September.

The red colour is not in petals but in filaments of anthers. Each head has many flowers & each flower has numerous stamens (filament + anther). Macro with auto-focus. (0217)
