leafy taj, anyone?

this is my favourite angle of the taj mahal. in fact, akshay, if you stepped further back, perhaps on the lawns, you would get a stunning photograph of the taj, with a few leaves from a large tree, in the immediate foreground, and the taj at this angle.
THAT is my favourite image of taj. i shot that pic in 1999, but i can't find the negatives. if someone's visiting the taj anytime, try that a few more unusual shots. i guess if we have loads of interesting new angles, as well as close-up and other shots of the taj, i could just create a whole category in image galleries, called 'taj mahal.'

let's work towards it.
wah! another thing. the subject of this comment, 'leafy taj' is a pun. time for my cup of chai. see ya.

Waah Taj!

Akshay,
that's an absolutely beautiful photograph, and I love the shadows. There are so many things right about it. The distortion of the wide angle(?) also adds to the beauty.
Would be nice if you could mail/tell what camera equipment you are using and more about the composition of this shot.

beats the taj mahal itself

Wow,
This image beats the real taj mahal. I wish you had used correct lens so that there was no distortion.
Agar Shahjahan zinada hote to photo lene wale ke haath katwa diye hote ;-)
(If Shahjhan was alive he would have ordered to cut hands of photographer so that he could not click such beautiful photograph ever again and this would have been one of its kind photograph).

truly amazing!

wonderful photography to capture 'one of the wonders of the world'

Simply Sensational!

Hi Akshay,

I have seen many images of the Taj, but this one is right there amongst the best ones I ever saw. This is my favourite angle of the Taj and I have many pictures taken of it from that angle and the diametrically opposite side pushing myself back as far as I could go.

I have several pictures taken on moonlit nights from boats in the Yamuna behind it.

I will soon upload them and share them with all of you.

This picture is really awesome. It is a pure delight indeed.

Cheers!
Jonty
